I Be

I am that flimsy lonely cloud,
Apart from all the rest.
A leading edge, a trailing fluff
God knows, I'm not his best.

I am that wispy skinny one,
Misshapen by cold wind.
Too far away to serve a storm,
Too high to swell its din.

I love and loathe my loneliness,
That makes me bend my knee.
As part of clouds I might do more.
In clearer sky I be.
