"The Grave Robber"

LORD, enter into me
Like a spring wind through an open window.
Part the curtains that blur my sight
From seeing you so near ...right here.
Come in, dear Lord, and blow away
The ghosts of my own thinking.
Fill my empty chambers
With the joy of your own being.

The specters chase through the halls of my soul,
They fill me with dread and doubt.
Sorrow is their sorry gift.
Silence them with your holy smile,
With the beauty of your love.

Raising Spirit of the dead
Raising up the sleepy heads,
All like me who can't quite see
How you slay the enemy.
Raise my eyes to see you work,
Darkness, death and grave displace.
Come with light and life and love.
Commander of all realms and space,
It's all your time. It's all your place.

Lift me Lord, to see these others---
Family, friends---the graves you've robbed!
Lifted from their toils and dying
You have made their faces smiling.
All your saints are singing, laughing,
Playing, romping all pure praying.
Light of light forever beaming
Radiantly from face to face.
